Minnesota and Michigan snag No. 1 seeds in NCAA men's hockey tournament

Minnesota has been named the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Division I men's national tournament, with Quinnipiac, Michigan, and Denver also named No. 1 seeds in their respective regionals. Minnesota, seeking its sixth national title and the first since 2003, will open against Canisius on Thursday. Led by NHL prospects such as Logan Cooley, Matthew Knies, and Jimmy Snuggerud, Minnesota has more than a dozen NHL draft picks on its roster. The winners of the respective regionals will play each other on April 8 to decide the national championship.
