"NCAA Sends Michigan Official Notice of Recruiting Violations"

The University of Michigan has received a notice of allegations from the NCAA regarding recruiting violations by the football staff during the COVID-19 dead period. Head coach Jim Harbaugh faces a Level I violation for allegedly not cooperating with investigators, while the university faces four Level II violations. Michigan had previously self-imposed suspensions for Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore. The NCAA's infractions committee did not approve a negotiated resolution involving Harbaugh, resulting in the self-imposed penalties. Michigan also faces a separate NCAA investigation for off-campus scouting and signal-stealing. The university has 90 days to respond to the notice of allegations.
