The Oakland Athletics have begun the process of relocating to Las Vegas, with the team submitting information related to their relocation application, according to MLB commissioner Rob Manfred. The A's hope to break ground on a new retractable-roof ballpark in Las Vegas next year and open it in time for the 2027 season. Their lease at the Oakland Coliseum expires after the 2024 season, and their interim home has yet to be determined. The relocation committee, headed by Milwaukee Brewers chairman Mark Attanasio, will evaluate the move and make a recommendation to the 30 owners for a vote. The A's have the lowest attendance in the league and are looking for a permanent solution.
