Phillies Eye Yankees Relievers to Strengthen Bullpen
TL;DR
The St. Louis Cardinals are reportedly planning to keep closer Ryan Helsley, making him unavailable for trade to the Phillies, who are seeking a high-leverage reliever. Helsley had a standout season with a 2.04 ERA and 49 saves. Meanwhile, the Phillies have shown interest in former Yankees relievers Clay Holmes and Tommy Kahnle. Additionally, the Phillies have engaged in trade talks involving Alec Bohm, with the Mariners and White Sox expressing interest, but no deals are imminent due to high asking prices.
