Rangers signal roster retooling, eye potential trades ahead of deadline
TL;DR
The New York Rangers say they will retool the roster—not rebuild—shifting to a strategy centered on their core players and young prospects as injuries and a rough stretch push them down the standings; the plan could involve trading veteran star Artemi Panarin to acquire young talent, draft picks and cap space, with the NHL Trade Deadline looming on March 6.
