Former NBA player and celebrity endorser of FTX, Shaquille O'Neal, was served with legal papers over the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange while covering an NBA playoff game at the FTX Arena in Miami. O'Neal was among several celebrities to endorse FTX before its sudden collapse in late 2022. Federal officials indicted FTX founder Samuel Bankman-Fried for fraud, money laundering, and campaign finance offenses. Several athletes, including Tom Brady and Stephen Curry, have also been summoned in the lawsuit.
