Philadelphia drafted Alabama guard Labaron Philon Jr. with the 22nd pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, adding a dynamic guard to a young core led by Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe. Philon shot 39.9% from three as a sophomore and can play on/off the ball, but at 176 pounds he must get stronger; coaches say he should compete for a rotation role this season as Philly weighs free agency and additional acquisitions to round out the roster.
