Sixers Target Veteran 3-and-D Wing Caldwell-Pope After Grizzlies Buyout
TL;DR
The Sixers, after rumors of LeBron James joining, are set to sign Kentavious Caldwell-Pope pending a buyout from the Memphis Grizzlies. Caldwell-Pope would add veteran 3-and-D depth to Philadelphia, who is trying to bolster their wing rotation. His recent stint in Memphis was below his career averages, but he brings championship pedigree from the Lakers/Nuggets. To sign him, Philly would need to clear cap space by waiving non-guaranteed contracts (Jabari Walker, Dalen Terry) and possibly Johni Broome, keeping options open on roster spots as they pursue veteran minimum signings.
