Notre Dame's head coach Marcus Freeman led the team to a historic 40-8 victory over Oregon State in the Sun Bowl, despite facing numerous challenges including 19 player opt-outs, coaching staff changes, and the need to integrate new players. The win marked the most lopsided bowl victory in Notre Dame's history and set a positive tone for the future of the program under Freeman's leadership. With a focus on present performance and team commitment, Freeman has positioned Notre Dame for potential success in the upcoming College Football Playoff and beyond.
