Timberwolves ramp up Giannis pursuit as deadline looms
TL;DR
With the NBA trade deadline about 24 hours away, Minnesota is aggressively pursuing Giannis Antetokounmpo, who reportedly would welcome a trade and sign a long-term extension. Milwaukee is seeking a large return (including Jaden McDaniels and multiple first-round picks), prompting the Wolves to assemble a multi-team package as they compete with the Warriors and Heat for the star; ownership could still block a deal, and a summer bidding war remains a possibility.
