Twins ignite early four-run burst to edge Braves 4-2

The Twins jumped on the Braves with a four-run first inning and rode a steady pitching effort to a 4-2 win at Target Field, as Atlanta failed to homer and left several balls on the warning track with seven opposite-field outs. Martin Perez worked five innings, allowing four runs, while the Braves finally scratched across a run in the fifth on Riley, Baldwin and Acuña Jr., but couldn’t complete the comeback as the Twins bullpen locked it down.
