Vega Ioane's Viral Moment Reveals a Gentle Giant Behind the Ravens' First-Round Pick
TL;DR
Vega Ioane, Baltimore's 14th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and the earliest Ravens guard ever selected, is celebrated for his on-field dominance but captured attention off the field when a Penn State equipment‑cart incident went viral: Ioane jumped a wall to help push a struggling staffer after a Penn State loss to Ohio State. Ravens GM Eric DeCosta praised the moment as a small but meaningful reflection of Ioane’s humility and character, shaped by being the youngest of nine siblings from Graham, Washington, who says he can switch from a calm, team‑focused persona off the field to a relentless mauler on it.
