TL;DR

Josh Dobbs, the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, has been demoted to third-string in a surprising turn of events. Rookie quarterback Jaren Hall will now serve as the backup to Nick Mullens, who replaced Dobbs in the Vikings' previous game. Head coach Kevin O'Connell cited Hall's improved health and development as the reason for the change. The Vikings, currently the No. 6 seed in the NFC, are facing a tight playoff race.
