White Sox's Benintendi Hits 10-Day IL with Achilles Injury
TL;DR
The Chicago White Sox have placed outfielder Andrew Benintendi on the 10-day injured list due to left achilles tendinitis, calling up Oscar Colas from Triple-A to fill his roster spot. Benintendi, who signed a five-year, $75 million deal with the team, has struggled significantly this season, posting the lowest fWAR among qualified players. The White Sox are also monitoring Andrew Vaughn's status, who may also go on the IL due to a finger injury.
