Yankees Acquire Outfielder Austin Slater from White Sox
TL;DR
The Yankees acquired outfielder Austin Slater from the White Sox in a one-for-one trade, sending minor leaguer Gage Ziehl to Chicago. Slater, a versatile outfielder with strong performance against left-handed pitching, will bolster the Yankees' bench, especially with Aaron Judge injured. Ziehl, a promising young pitcher, was recently promoted to Double-A and has shown solid performance in the minors. The trade aims to improve the Yankees' outfield depth as they navigate injuries and roster needs.
