Yankees Hint Lombard Jr. May Fast-Track to MLB on Minor-League Tear
TL;DR
The Yankees are signaling that George Lombard Jr. could be fast-tracked to the majors if his strong minor-league performance continues, with a swing tweak for power and added third-base experience at Double-A. His defense is viewed as MLB-ready, and if his bat proves undeniable in Triple-A—potentially after about 30 strong games—he could earn a big-league debut sooner than expected.
