Yankees' Nestor Cortes placed on injured list with rotator cuff strain.
TL;DR
The Yankees and White Sox will play a doubleheader today after poor air quality postponed their game last night. Nestor Cortes has been diagnosed with a mild shoulder strain and will be on the IL for two weeks. Carlos Rodón successfully faced hitters in a 20-pitch session, showing positive signs of recovery. Clint Frazier spoke positively about his time with the Yankees after being DFA'd in November 2021. Aroldis Chapman is likely to be traded by the Royals this summer, but a reunion with the Yankees is unlikely.
