Tragic Drowning of Former NFL Quarterback Ryan Mallett

Authorities released bodycam video footage of the scene where former NFL player Ryan Mallett drowned at a Florida beach, stating that there was no indication of rip currents playing a role in the incident. The sheriff's office confirmed that Mallett was part of a group struggling to return to shore near the second sandbar in Destin. Despite media misinformation, yellow beach safety flags were flying at the time, and there were no rip currents present. Mallett, 35, was pronounced dead at the Destin Emergency Room.
