TL;DR

Cape Verde, making their World Cup debut, earned a 2-2 draw with Uruguay in Miami after taking an early lead from Kevin Pina’s 35-yard free kick and later equalising through Helio Varela following a Muslera error; Uruguay briefly led with goals from Maximiliano Araujo and Agustin Canobbio, but Cape Verde’s comeback keeps them in the knockout race with roughly a 67% chance to advance, while Uruguay must beat Spain in their final group game and Cape Verde face Saudi Arabia.
