Embracer Group has officially sold off Saber Interactive to a group of private investors under Beacon Interactive for $247 million, with an option to bring Metro series developer 4A Games and Pinball FX developer Zen Studios, increasing the price tag to around $500 million. Following the deal, Embracer will still have several studios, and despite 4A Games going with Saber Interactive, Embracer retains the license and publishing rights to current and future games in the Metro series. Tuxedo Labs, previously controlled by Saber Interactive, released a statement discussing its future as a studio now under the Embracer umbrella, expressing full creative control and independence.
