Congressional Investigation Demanded for Apple Store Labor Practices.

Lawmakers Emanuel Cleaver II and Sylvia Garcia have called for an investigation into Apple Store locations in Kansas City and Houston over claims of unfair labor practices. The Communications Workers of America claims that workers were illegally intimidated and disciplined for supporting union efforts. The National Labor Relations Act guarantees employees the right to unionize, if they choose. The lawmakers are concerned these claims could be part of a pattern because the NLRB found Apple infringed upon worker rights in a separate case earlier this year. Apple has not yet responded to the request for comment.
