David Barton and his wife Susanne Bartsch were allegedly asked to leave a Crunch gym in New York's Chelsea neighborhood after management learned that he was building a rival gym nearby. Barton, who was known for his night-club-like gyms in the 1990s, is set to open his new gym, U, on May 31. The couple had been regulars at the Crunch location since the pandemic, but were reportedly told they were no longer welcome due to Barton's new venture. Crunch Fitness did not respond to requests for comment.
