Spokane Spokesperson Files Suit Over AI-Recreated Likeness in Local Ads

Amber George, the longtime Fred’s Appliance spokesperson, sued Fred’s Appliance and Victory Media in Spokane, alleging unauthorized use of her voice and likeness via AI to create ads from past footage, claiming breach of ownership rights and her contract. The defendants say AI edits were limited, disclosed, and conducted in good faith, and they've offered compensation; George says she rejected the offer and the case could settle out of court as discussions continue.
