TL;DR

At The Game Awards 2024, horror games were largely overlooked, with Silent Hill 2 failing to win any awards despite multiple nominations. ASTRO BOT emerged as the big winner, securing four awards including Game of the Year. The only horror game to win was Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, which took home awards for Best Audio Design and Best Performance. Other notable winners included Helldivers 2 and Frostpunk 2. Horror fans can look forward to the Horror Game Awards, where Silent Hill 2 has eight nominations.
