Illumination's Next Nintendo Franchise: Who Will It Be?

With the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, speculation is rife about which Nintendo franchise Illumination should tackle next. While a Mario sequel is a no-brainer, other options include Donkey Kong, Luigi's Mansion, Captain Toad, Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Pikmin, Kirby, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon. Some of these franchises were subtly hinted at in the Mario Movie, while others would be a good fit for Illumination's style.
