Accessibility Issues in Tears of the Kingdom's Combat and Quests

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been a commercial and critical success, but it fails in one respect: accessibility. The game does not have a single accessibility option, despite the increasing trend of AAA developers and publishers including thorough accessibility options. The author, who is a tetraplegic, has been able to play the game relatively well by remapping the controls in the Switch's settings, but it is far from a great solution and might not benefit others as much as it did him. The author recommends adding a colorblind mode, in-game button remapping, toggle-on/off functionality, and optional left stick Ultrahand manipulation to make the game more accessible.
