"Alan Wake 2: Max Payne Cameo and Digital-Only Debate"
TL;DR
The new Alan Wake 2 trailer features a character who looks like Max Payne, but is actually Alex Casey, the protagonist from Alan Wake's in-universe best-selling novel, The Sudden Stop. The character is played by Sam Lake and voiced by James McCaffrey, who also voiced Max Payne. Remedy's games are all connected in the Remedy Connected Universe, and Alan Wake becomes the author of the legally distinct Max Payne in this universe.
