Obsidian's upcoming RPG Avowed was showcased during the Xbox Developer Direct, revealing customizable combat loadouts, moral choice and consequences, and diverse biomes. The game, set in the world of Pillars of Eternity, promises "moral nuance and grey areas" and a "weird" but captivating experience with secrets and unusual sights. Avowed is slated for release this fall and has evolved from its original multiplayer concept to a single-player experience with a scope similar to The Outer Worlds.
