Larian Studios' Director of Publishing, Michael Douse, has disputed a recent leak suggesting that Baldur's Gate 3 would release on Xbox Series X|S consoles on December 6. Douse stated that the release date is still unknown and that the plan is to release the game on Xbox before the end of 2023, but only when they are confident in the release version. The Xbox version of Baldur's Gate 3 was delayed due to splitscreen co-op issues on the Xbox Series S, but Microsoft allowed Larian to exclude splitscreen for the Series S version.
