Battlefield 2042's Season 5 update, New Dawn, will bring major changes to vehicle loadouts, with explosive weapon options being removed from some of the game's most-used ground vehicles. The update will also introduce improvements to jet gameplay, thermal sights for vehicles, and the ability to decouple aiming and turning for tanks. New weapons and gadgets, as well as a new map titled Reclaimed, will also be added. The update aims to make the roles of different vehicles more clearly defined.
