Deadline’s interview with the show’s creators confirms a hurricane-bookended finale: Sarah and John B marry, the Pogues rally to reclaim Treasure and help rebuild the island into a Pogues‑Kooks “utopia,” and key arcs—Kiara’s revenge on Groff, Rafe and Sofia’s uncertain fates, and JJ’s death—conclude with a bittersweet, mostly hopeful note. The Pogues’ Azerbaijan treasure run ends with the Royal Merchant gold recovered and used to reshape the island; Twinkie makes a comeback as part of the wedding celebration; a 20-year prequel is in development, and while the door remains open to spinoffs, the creators stress they didn’t plan to bring JJ back in any corporeal form. The Blue Crown’s powers are treated as ambiguous rather than strictly magical, and the ending feels like a true bookend to the series.

Rose’s arc ties up, and a year later the Pogues are wealthy and ready for a new life.
