The absence of such a feature has forced players to seek updates through external channels, primarily Twitter, which poses a challenge due to recent restrictions on non-logged-in users. Bungie acknowledged the demand and is investigating alternate methods to keep players informed, including the possibility of a mailbox system or a "Recent News" tab in-game. Currently, Bungie relies on a banner system for important announcements, but it is limited in scope.
