Cramorant’s Form-Shift Shakes Up Pokémon GO PvP

Pokemon GO’s Water Festival 2026 introduces Cramorant with a battlefield form-change mechanic: Surf or Dive can trigger Gulping (HP >50%) or Gorging (HP <50%), and once formed it gains a counterattack when hit by a charged attack. In Gulping, getting hit releases Arrokuda and lowers the opponent’s Defense by 1 stage; in Gorging, it releases Pikachu and lowers the opponent’s Attack by 2 stages. Shields don’t revert the form, and the debuffs apply even if Cramorant faints; switching Pokémon resets to Normal form, and re-triggering requires using Surf or Dive again under the correct HP. The mechanic is not yet eligible for Competitors Cup or raids, but offers strategic trade-offs by softening bulky foes or crippling strong attackers.
