Destiny 2: The Final Shape Expansion Faces Delay, New Release Date Set

Bungie has officially announced that the release of Destiny 2's next expansion, The Final Shape, has been delayed to June 4, 2024, in order to deliver a bigger and bolder vision. The delay follows reports of mass layoffs at Bungie and lower than expected preorder numbers for the expansion. In the meantime, a two-month content update called Destiny 2: Into the Light will be available for all players starting in April. The Final Shape is described as the culmination of the first ten years of Destiny storytelling and will introduce an episodic format.
