Dragon Quest series chief producer departs Square Enix.

Ryutaro Ichimura, the chief producer of the Dragon Quest series, has left Square Enix to explore higher-risk environments after reflecting on how many more games he can make in his lifetime. He was most recently the producer of Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai, which is set for a global release this fall. Ichimura has already overseen the game to near-completion and has handed the reigns to his successor.
