"EA Cancels Dead Space 2 Remake Amid Lackluster Sales"
TL;DR
EA reportedly had a Dead Space 2 remake in the works, but the project has been shelved due to lacklustre sales of the first game. The studio has shifted its focus to other projects, with EA Motive now working on Iron Man and Battlefield. Despite the cancellation, last year's Dead Space remake was praised for its reworking of the setting, although it did not achieve significant sales.
