TL;DR

Escape from Tarkov is set to launch on Steam soon, with the full 1.0 release planned for November 15, 2025, after over eight years in beta. The developer, Battlestate Games, has not yet revealed if existing players will need to repurchase the game on Steam or how the move will impact issues like cheating. The announcement follows recent controversy over a new $250 edition and ongoing content access concerns. More details are expected later.
