How outlets are covering it

Pokémon GO Hub and the official Pokémon GO blog provide detailed mechanics, including specific dates for Eternamax battles and GO Pass rewards. OpenCritic highlights the significance of Eternatus's return after a long absence, noting its debut in August 2025. GoNintendo confirms the event dates and early access details for GO Pass Deluxe. All sources agree on the core event structure, but the official blog and Hub offer more granular details on rewards and bonuses.

Why it matters

The return of Eternatus, a major Legendary Pokémon, is a significant draw for players, especially given its absence since August 2025. The event's structure, including the free upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe for loyal players, aims to boost engagement and spending during the Twilight Trails season.

What to watch

Players should prepare for the event starting November 16, with key dates including the Spotlight Hour on November 19 and Eternamax Eternatus battles on November 21. Rewards from the GO Pass expire on November 25, so players should claim them promptly.
