Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is still on track to launch this winter, despite a year of silence. The company stated that development is progressing smoothly and they are currently working on nailing down a release date for the game. The existence of a second Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been known for some time, but fans have not heard any updates on Rebirth since its official announcement last June. Another major announcement could be coming soon, possibly through one of the many upcoming video game showcases this summer.
