"Friends' 'Hypercube' Unites Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Fans in 2023"

A group of four friends has created a device called the "Hypercube" to play the original version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles together online. The 2020 remaster of the game did not capture the multiplayer experience they cherished from their teenage years, so they devised a setup using GameCube consoles, GameBoy Players, a Wii, and various adapters. The Hypercube allows all four friends to play the game simultaneously from different locations, using the GameCubes as Game Boy Advance controllers. This project highlights the challenges of game preservation and the determination of players to recapture the original spirit of older games.
