TL;DR

Pokemon Go's New Year's 2024 event offers players special Timed Research tasks with rewards including a Jigglypuff wearing a ribbon, a Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and a Wurmple with a party hat. The event runs until January 3rd, and the Timed Research ticket costs $1, providing additional encounters, Stardust, PokeCoins, and XP upon completion. Players must weigh the benefits as the ticketed research competes with other in-game purchase options.
