Larian CEO Addresses Baldur's Gate 3 Split and Future RPG Plans

Larian's Swen Vincke insists that Wizards of the Coast is not to blame for the studio's decision to move on from Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dungeons & Dragons, stating that the company has been a great licensor. Larian confirmed it had no plans for DLC or expansions for Baldur’s Gate 3 and no intention to make another D&D video game, prompting speculation about the future of the series. Hasbro, the owner of Wizards of the Coast, has not revealed its plans for the franchise following Larian's departure, but other Dungeons & Dragons games are in development by different studios.
