TL;DR

Indie action RPG Last Epoch surpasses Path of Exile's all-time player count on Steam just four days after its official release, marking a significant milestone for the game. Despite initial server struggles, Last Epoch's popularity with ARPG fans led to concurrent player counts of over 150,000 on the first day. While Path of Exile also has its own launcher, separate from Steam, Last Epoch's achievement is seen as a victory for the ARPG genre and has fans excited for the future of the genre.
