TL;DR

The maximum level cap in Modern Warfare 3 at launch is Rank 55, but it is expected to increase with the release of Season 1 in early December. Unfortunately, there are no Prestige levels to grind after reaching the level cap, which has been a point of criticism from fans. However, there is a possibility that Prestige levels may be added in the upcoming Season One update.
