MGS4 Breaks Free from PS3, Hits PS5 in Master Collection Vol. 2
TL;DR
Metal Gear Solid 4 is joining modern consoles via Master Collection Vol. 2, landing on PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S on August 27, 2026; a PS5 gameplay clip shows the opening act with a modest resolution and frame-rate boost rather than a full remaster, with updates to the main menu and save/load while quirks like the iPod and the 'No Place for Hideo' box stay; Peace Walker and other extras are included, but Metal Gear Online is not, and Assassin's Creed content is part of the PS5 version.
