NetherRealm Studios released a thank you video for Mortal Kombat's 30th anniversary, which may have teased the future of the franchise. The video ends with a 12-second clip of sand falling in an hourglass, resembling Kronika's Hourglass from MK11, and co-creator Ed Boon saying "we're not quite done yet." Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav previously confirmed that Mortal Kombat 12 is planned for release in 2023. This is the latest in a series of teases and mentions of MK12.
