Nintendo has announced that the online services for 3DS and Wii U software will be disconnected on April 8th, 2024, at 4PM PT / 7PM ET. Users with unused eShop balances tied to a Nintendo Network ID have until March 11th to link the wallet with a Nintendo Account. Despite the shutdown, certain services like StreetPass and Pokémon Bank will continue, and it will still be possible to download update data and redownload purchased software and downloadable content from Nintendo eShop.
