Nintendo Commits to Continued Switch Support Through 2025

Nintendo's president, Shuntaro Furukawa, has stated in an interview that the company will continue to support the Switch console with new software until at least March 2025. Furukawa also mentioned plans to sustain momentum with upcoming releases and maximize demand for both new and replacement consoles. While Nintendo has not officially commented on its next console, sources suggest that development kits for the Switch 2 have been sent to key partners, with a launch expected in the second half of 2024. This indicates that support for the current Switch will continue even after the release of its successor, as seen with the 3DS.
