Oathbreaker Becomes Official MTG Format.
TL;DR
Wizards of the Coast has officially recognized the Oathbreaker format, which is similar to Commander but with some differences. In Oathbreaker, players use a Planeswalker as their Commander and a Signature Spell, and the format is a 60-card Singleton multiplayer experience. The ban list includes cards like Mana Crypt and Sol Ring, and the card pool is the same as Commander. The Oathbreaker format has been around since 2017 and now has official recognition from Wizards of the Coast.
