Overwatch 2's executive producer, Jared Neuss, revealed that there will be no new story missions in seasons 7 and 8 following the initial launch on August 10, 2023. This means that fans will have to wait until 2024 for additional story content. Neuss stated that this delay is to allow for changes and updates based on feedback. The rollout of story and PvE content in Overwatch 2 has been plagued with delays and changes, including the shift to a paid model for story missions.
